Alley is in her 3rd year in COMD, and is from Toronto (please don’t hold either against her). She likes puppies over kittens and analog to digital, but will settle in order to survive.

Briana Garelli

Briana is a 3rd year Communication Design student from the most random place in Mexico. She loves typography and started doing illustrations and novels at an early age. She is interested in doing freelance work as well as social communication design. In the future she wants to get involved in international politics; for now, she just wants to own a seahorse.

I like dry humour, bad movies, being lame, and getting “wired”. I came to Emily Carr to study photography but I ended up dancing with my other love – design. I realized I could pursue all my loves. This year I am at the helm of this website. Hope you love it.

Karston Smith

Karston managed the hour-long flight to attend Emily Carr University in 2008.  Upon arrival, his sheltered, naïve and generally unimpressive knowledge of art was demolished. Fortunately, it was then rebuilt with the names of artists who matter.

Nayeli Jimenez

Nayeli is an enthusiastic 3rd year Communication Design student at ECU. She is strongly interested in photography and music. Originally from Cuernavaca, Mexico, she also loves traveling, meeting new people and trying every single type of food possible. Being part of The WOO has become a very important part of her practice, and she is confident that this year’s issues are going to be great!
